In 2010, 12 Plunges were held with more than 8,000 participants raising over $1.7 million. The Torch Run is the largest grassroots fund raising effort for Special Olympics, showcased by the Final Leg Run when  officers start from all corners of the state to escort the Flame of Hope™ to Summer Games, Special Olympics Wisconsin's largest state sporting event. The Law Enforcement Torch Run® also hosts many fund raisers year-round including semi pulls, motorcycle rides, tip-a-cop, rooftop sits and golf outings.
