Join us for the 3rd Annual Du Run Run in Appleton!

Register on-line now for the 2008 Du Run Run taking place on Saturday, June 14th at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute - home of the Timber Rattlers. Click here for directions to the Fox Cities Stadium.

The FIRST 100 children to register on-line will receive a FREE ticket to any regular season home Timber Rattlers game and a Du Run Run waterbottle!!

WHAT IS THE DU RUN RUN?

The Du Run Run is a fun family event which features a duathlon consisting of a run, a bike ride, then another run. The duathlon is open to children ages 3-10. There is also a Fun Run for children 2 and under!  Races will be organized according to age and gender. The event also features tons of kids games and activities that are FREE to race participants! Medals presented to 1st-3rd place in each age division and gender and children not placing will be presented with ribbons. All 2-year-olds racing in the Fun Run will receive a ribbon!

  • Awards Ceremony
  • Meet mascots like Monkey Joe, Fang and McGruff the Crime Dog,
  • Win a NEW BIKE and more!

EVENT REGISTRATION FEES & DETAILS

The required registration fees for the Du Run Run are $15 per child for the first two children registered and $10 for each additional child. Registration fee includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, racing, awards for every child, free games & prizes, a Timber Rattler ticket and a DuRunRun water bottle (first 100 children). Registration fee can either be paid on-line or turned in on the day of the race.

All racers must check in on the day of the event. Du Run Run event check-in on June 14th opens at 9:00 AM and racing begins at 10:00 AM.

RACE INFO & TIMES

Children must wear a bike helmet while biking and must bring their own bike.

NOTE: The following race times are approximate start times. Children should be present 30 minutes prior to race time. Races may begin early. If there are not enough boys or girls to make a complete race group, boys and girls will race together. Medals presented to 1st-3rd place in each age division and gender and children not placing will be presented with ribbons. All 2-year-olds racing in the Fun Run will receive a ribbon!

COURSE LENGHTS

Course lengths are customized for each age group:

  • Ages 9-10: 1/4 mile run, 2 mile bike, 1/4 mile run
  • Ages 7-8: 1/4 mile run, 1 mile bike, 1/4 mile run
  • Ages 5-6: 200 yard run, 1/2 mile bike, 200 yard run
  • Ages 3-4: 75 yard run, 300 yard bike/trike, 75 yard run
  • Age 2 and under: 50 yard run

RAISE PLEDGES AND SUPPORT SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Support Special Olympics by raising pledges and children can take home cool prizes. Last year the DuRunRun participants raised $8,000.00 for Special Olympics. (Click to download a pledge form) Prizes include:

  • Raise $100-Du Run Run Beach Towel
  • Raise $250-Du Run Run Back Pack
  • Raise $500-$50 Gift Card for Toys R Us 
  • The child that raises the highest level of pledges will also win a NEW BIKE!

By registering on-line you can create your child’s own Du Run Run Web page, add a photo of your child, send e-mails to family and friends letting them know your child is participating in the event and receive debit/credit card pledges that will be credited to your child and show up right on your Web page as they come in!
