Special Olympics athletes overcome challenges every day, and this fall daring participants will overcome a challenge of their own by going Over the Edge for Special Olympics Wisconsin. For the second year in a row, Edgers will face their fears while rappelling down the side of some of Madison and Milwaukee’s tallest buildings while raising funds for the nearly 10,000 athletes in Wisconsin.
Over the Edge will allow you to work alongside a professional team to assist you the entire way down - no prior rappelling experience is required! Participants must raise a minimum of $1,500 and will receive exclusive Over the Edge gear.
This fall, Over the Edge Milwaukee takes place on Friday, October 7th at The City Center at 735, located at 735 N. Water Street in Milwaukee. Over the Edge Madison will take place a week later on Friday, October 14th at the Tenney Building on the Capitol Square located at 25 S. Pinckney Street in Madison.
Last year, Special Olympics Wisconsin had 91 participants go Over the Edge in Milwaukee and Madison to raise a total of $66,000 for SOWI.
