Featured Edger - Officer Dan Schuster

Marshall police officer Dan Schuster will, for the first time, go Over the Edge when he rappels off the side of the Tenney Building in Madison on August 17. Being a fan of extreme sports, Officer Schuster will surely meet his desire to have an experience “like no other” as he rappels down the side of this tall building.

Aside from the thrill, Officer Schuster has a deep connection with the cause. His little brother, Brian Schuster, competes in Special Olympics and has won medals in several events over the years. Officer Schuster sees first hand that Special Olympics offers a chance for many who would not typically be able to participate in athletics to “build self esteem, pride and self accomplishment.”

He plans to raise the minimum registration amount of $1,000 to go Over the Edge through contacting people who know his family and his little brother.

“Opportunities to support my brother, his friends, and others who compete in Special Olympics are so rewarding, especially when you get to see their smiles,” Officer Schuster says.
