Kwik Trip’s annual icon sale for Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) will take place from October 12-25, 2012 across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Customers can purchase a paper icon for $1 each, sign their names and hang them in their local Kwik Trip store to show their support of Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes. In 2011, Kwik Trip raised $250,000 company-wide throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, and SOWI received more than $145,000, an increase from $120,000 in 2010.

 Kwik Trip has been a supporter of SOWI for more than 13 years and currently is a SOWI year-round Mission Partner, a statewide Polar Plunge® partner and a Law Enforcement Torch Run® for SOWI partner.

 SOWI provides year-round training and competition opportunities through 17 different Olympic-type sports for nearly 10,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities. Thank you to Kwik Trip and the Law Enforcement Torch Run, the Mission Partners of SOWI, enabling the organization to hold 137 statewide competitions and five state tournaments per year.
