Miracle on Canal Street is Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s signature community program that raises funds for 30 children’s charities – and Special Olympics Wisconsin is one of the beneficiary this year.

Runners and walkers from all across Wisconsin will unite at the 30th annual Leader-Telegram Buckshot Run in Eau Claire on Saturday, September 1, 2012. This event typically draws around 1,500 people and this year, race leaders will honor eight runners who have a perfect attendance record!

On 17 August 2012, Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) athlete David Thompson will take on his fear of heights and go Over the Edge of The Tenney Building to show his support for the organization that he loves so much.

A Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) multisport athlete of 20 years, Eric Yerges will take on a whole new challenge by taking the Ultimate Lambeau Leap on August 8, 2012.

Marshall police officer Dan Schuster will, for the first time, go Over the Edge when he rappels off the side of the Tenney Building in Madison on August 17. Being a fan of extreme sports, Officer Schuster will surely meet his desire to have an experience “like no other” as he rappels down the side of this tall building.

Aaron Ciuplinski was never a “huge daredevil” before his first time going Over the Edge last year, but ever since, he has found himself trying more things that “make life a lot more fun.” With that attitude, he will be back to rappel down the side of The City Center downtown Milwaukee this year on Friday, September 14, 2012.

On August 8th 2012, Chuck Kurzynski will show his support for the 10,000 athletes that compete in Special Olympics Wisconsin each year by taking the Ultimate Lambeau Leap.

Jacqueline Chesson will join her co-workers and friends on August 17th and rappel for her first time Over the Edge of the Tenney Building. Although she is not a huge fan of extreme sports, Jacqueline said she is “pushing herself to try new things”. After watching a number of her co-workers participate in Over the Edge, she’s determined to join the ranks—no matter how much she screams on the way down.
