February is here, and that means its time for the 2012 Polar Plunge® winter fundraiser! Be a Below Zero Hero by leaping into icy bodies of water across the state and raise money for nearly 10,000 Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) athletes.

Plungers consist of individuals and teams of students, law enforcement officers, business professionals and families.  Everyone is welcome! Too chicken to plunge? No Problem! Register as 'too chicken to plunge' and you can raise funds and stay dry.

Kwik Trip Icon Sale a Success!

Kwik Trip’s 2011 annual icon sale for Special Olympics exceeded the 2010 totals. From October 14-27, customers purchased an icon for $1 each, signed their names and hung them in their local Kwik Trip store to benefit Special Olympics. Of the $250,000 Kwik Trip raised company-wide throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) received over $146,000, an increase from $124,000 in 2010.

Special Olympics Wisconsin Announces Signing of the Income Tax Check-Off Bill

Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) is excited to announce the income tax check-off bill was signed on Wednesday, November 16th at the Wisconsin State Capitol at 10:30a.m. The check-off program enables taxpayers to make a contribution to state programs on their personal state income tax form.

"Share the Love" with Special Olympics at your Local Subaru® Dealer!

We are proud to be one of five charitable partners in the Subaru "Share the Love" event. Subaru® knows their owners care. That’s why they created the "Share the Love" event.  You get a great deal on a new Subaru and they’ll donate $250 to your choice of five charities, one of which is Special Olympics.  Over the last three years, they’ve donated nearly $15 million dollars to charity.  They hope to donate another five million by sharing the love again this year.

Dan Wilkens went Over the Edge for Special Olympics Wisconsin for the first time two weeks ago, calling the experience second only to cliff jumping in Jamaica. Interestingly, Dan says the older he gets, the more he enjoys seeking out thrilling activities. Add in the fact that he believes in SOWI's mission and going Over the Edge was a no-brainer.

Kwik Trip Sells $1 Wall Icons for Special Olympics!

From October 14-27, Kwik Trip stores will sell wall icons for $1 each to support Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI). Customers can purchase an icon, sign their names and hang them in their local store. Kwik Trip's company wide goal for this year's icon sale in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa is $250,000. In 2010, SOWI received $130,000 from the sale.
