Event organizers expect close to 1,000 guests for the 17th year this Gala has been open to the public. Year after year, the Gala truly is one of Milwaukee’s most anticipated social events of the year. Last year’s event was a disco-themed extravaganza. The Gala is especially known for its food and live and silent auctions. “We already sampled some of the amazing food that will be available at the Gala, and I know that’s something guests rave about every year,” Vitrano said. “In addition, there are some very unique items and experiences up for auction, and the proceeds will directly support Special Olympics Wisconsin.”

The Gala is hosted annually by the Automobile Dealers Association of Mega Milwaukee, Inc. (ADAMM), who also serves as a presenter of the annual Greater Milwaukee Auto Show. The trade association was founded in 1907 and is currently made up of 117 automobile dealers in the greater Milwaukee area. Their galas have brought in more than $2 million for charities. Special Olympics Wisconsin is honored to be the beneficiary of the Gala this year. “They (ADAMM) care deeply about making the community better, and see in Special Olympics Wisconsin a great partner who is doing that every day,” Vitrano said.

“This is going to be a really exciting year for the Gala. Special Olympics Wisconsin is a great organization that is doing some really important work in the state and ADAMM couldn’t be happier to be partnering with them,” said ADAMM’s Chairman David Kriete in a news release announcing the partnership. Kriete also sits on SOWI’s board. “The Gala is always so fun and inspiring and that describes Special Olympics Wisconsin to a tee so I think this is a really natural fit.”
