What to expect during the Wausau Polar Plunge

Plungers at the Wausau Plunge at Sunnyvale park is a jump into water that is three and a half feet to four and a half feet deep. There is no head first diving allowed. The water is crystal clear and you can see the bottom. Professional divers are in the water for assistance. You will need to bring your own towels to dry off, and the changing rooms are two heated semi-trailers (one for men, one for women).  Special Olympics is not responsible for lost or stolen items. There will be hot tubs for your enjoyment.

The big tent will provide a live video feed of the Plunge hole so you can watch the Plunge without having to be outside. The Plunge hole is located about 500 feet from the tent. Spectators are asked to go to a safe fenced off section away from the cut hole.  The viewing at this site is great!
