What to expect during the Green Bay Polar Plunge

Registration will take place  from 9 - 11:30 a.m. on the lower level of The Watering Hole.  Be sure to arrive early to check out the awesome raffle items and Polar Plunge souvenirs! Most teams come to the event in their costumes – be sure to bring a towel and a change of clothes for the after-party!

Opening ceremonies will begin at 11:45, with Plunging starting at noon. The Plunge will take place in the old swimming quarry next to The Watering Hole. You must wear shoes to take the Polar Plunge. Each team will jump together into water that is approximately five feet deep!  For your safety – absolutely NO DIVING! But get creative as you know our VIP judges are watching your entry!

Be sure to bring your friends and family along to watch you be Freezin’ for a Reason! Although we cannot allow spectators on the ice, there is plenty of room for everyone! Or, better yet, encourage them to become part of your team’s Fan Club!  Fans can still collect pledges and earn incentives – plus, they get the best seat in the house when you take your Plunge!

After your team Plunges, run back inside and enjoy the privacy of our changing tents. Remember, the party takes place in an indoor volleyball court – fancy dress is not encouraged.  Then, head over to the IPI Photography booth to purchase a photo of your team’s memorable day!

With food and drink, raffles and prizes, costumes and Plunging – the 2009 Green Bay Polar Plunge is guaranteed to be an event you will never forget!
