FREE PLUNGE SHUTTLE
Want to alleviate the parking problems at the plunge?
Then we have the solution - take the Plunge Shuttle.
Anyone can park and ride from the UW-L campus or Western Technical College campus. This will be great for all college students on the campuses, but EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to use this FREE service!
Perks for using the shuttle:
- It is FREE
- Everyone that rides the shuttle from UW-L or WTC will receive a coupon good for a free soda at the plunge
- Turn in your coupon for a free soda and you will be entered to win a plunge prize package (can enter only if you ride the shuttle)
- Don’t have to worry about parking at the plunge
Parking at the Plunge
Parking is available at both boat landings off Clinton Street and at Copeland Park. Please do not use the Perkins parking lot as this is reserved for customers. Parking in the Black River Beach parking lot is reserved for those with a VIP Parking pass or those with a handicap accessible parking pass.
A courtesy shuttle will run from the West Copeland Boat landing to the beach – it will be free but will not offer any of the other “perks” mentioned above.
Shuttle from UW-L
Park in Lot C7 (commuter lot 7) located on La Crosse Street (near the Rec Center). Two buses will run a continuous loop between this parking lot and Black River Beach beginning at 10:00am and ending at 3:00pm. Be sure that you are in the correct lot because if you are parked in a resident hall lot you may be ticketed!
Shuttle from Western Technical College
Park in Lot D on the corner of La Crosse Street and 7th Street. Two buses will run a continuous loop between this parking lot and Black River Beach beginning at 10:00am and ending at 3:00pm.
