Take the Plunge
Click here to register online for the 2009 Polar Plunge.
What is the Polar Plunge?
The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support local Special Olympics athletes by jumping or running into the icy waters of Wisconsin.
This year there are eleven Plunges statewide to
choose from. If you're too chicken to make the splash, you can still participate. Sign up as "Too chicken to Plunge" or show your support by
making a pledge to a
braver soul.
Why take the Plunge?
Since its inception ten years ago, Wisconsin Plungers have helped raise $7 million for Special Olympics. Children and adults with cognitive disabilities who participate in Special Olympics develop improved physical fitness and motor skills, greater self-confidence and a more positive self-image.
Don't just catch any cold this winter...Catch this cold! Take the Polar Plunge.
