Cops n LobstersCops N Lobsters - April

Cops N Lobsters features law enforcement officers as guest servers at Red Lobster in Grand Chute. This year Cops N Lobsters raised over $4,200.00 for Special Olympics - Fox Valley Area. Fox Cities Final Legs

Oshkosh Leg

Check-in Oshkosh PD at 7:00 AM - Approx. 1 mile run/bike through downtown Oshkosh, followed by a short run into the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department.
Neenah to Menasha Leg - Check in at Neenah PD at 9:30 AM. - Approx. 3.5 mile run from Neenah PD to Menasha PD.
Heart of the Valley Leg - Check in at Kwik Trip in Kimberly at 10:45 - Approx. 2 mile run to Fox Valley Metro PD.

Oshkosh Bike Leg

Begin with Fox Cities Leg at Oshkosh PD at 7:00 AM. Participate in the Neenah to Menasha Leg, bikes will separate and take part bike ride to Riverside Park in Waupaca. Interested in participating contact Ryan Boerner at ryanboerner@yahoo.com

Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg Lunch Celebration

All Torch Run participants are invited to a celebration lunch at Riverside Park in Waupaca. Lunch will be served from 12:00 -12:30 PM. Riverside Park is located on Hwy 22 and 54 just down from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department. A tailgate style cookout with brats, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, cookies and beverages will be provided.

Local Special Olympics athletes will join us for lunch! At 12:40 PM all Final Leg participants are encouraged to join in the Torch Run Parade out of town. The parade will begin at Riverside Park and end at the K-mart parking lot.

Hotel Rooms

Check-in begins at host hotel, Ramada Stevens Point. Call 800-998-2311 before May 17 for reservations and ask for the Special Olympics Torch Run block. Room rates are: $78 single/double/triple/quad; $78 pool; $113 hospitality; $153 one-room suite.

Lockup a copLock Up a Cop - Friday, October 29th

Lock Up a Cop features law enforcement officers behind bars to benefit Special Olympics. This is NOT a jail and bail style event rather an event in which officers raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics by looking to the community to make contributions to any of the officers in the jail cell or the event in general. The event will take place at the Walmart in Oshkosh. Volunteers are needed to do a 2 hour shift in the jail cell along with approx. 4-5 other officers. Officers are encouraged to bring a vehicle to represent their department and come in uniform. Comedy for a Cause - August 12th

Comedy for a Cause will take place at the Skyline Comedy Café in Appleton. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each by contacting Investigator Mark Mauthe from the Menasha Police Dept. at mmauthe@ci.menasha.wi.us or Nicci Sprangers at nsprangers@specialolympicswisconsin.org. Enjoy a great show from popular comic Pete Lee, a Wisconsin native All proceeds from tickets sales benefit Special Olympics Fox Valley Area. Must be over 21 to attend.

This event features officers as guest waiters at Buffalo Wild Wings in Oshkosh. The event will raise funds for Special Olympics Wisconsin - Fox Valley Area. All tips that are received by the officers as they wait tables will benefit Special Olympics. In addition, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10% of all food sales. This event is being coordinated by Sgt Brian Schuldes from the Oshkosh Police Department. To volunteer for the event contact Sgt. Schuldes at brschuldes@ci.oshkosh.wi.us.

Bowl for ChampionsBowl for Champions - Sabre Lanes Menasha - October 9th, 2010

Bowl for Champions began in 2005 as a bowling event to raise funds for Special Olympics—Fox Valley Area. The event has grown dramatically over the past 4 years and has raised nearly $15,000.00 for Special Olympics. The event promises tons of fun, prizes galore and a wild wacky atmosphere as teams are encouraged to come dressed in themes. Sign up your 4 person team, entry fee is $60 per team. Participants are encouraged to also raise a minimum in $25 in pledges. The event is open to the public and 100% of the proceeds raised through this event will directly benefit the Fox Valley Area Special Olympics program.

Polar Plunge - February 19, 2011 - Menominee Park in Oshkosh

The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support local Special Olympics athletes by jumping or running into the icy waters of Wisconsin. In 2010, over 1900 individuals took the Polar Plunge in Oshkosh and raised $375,000 for Special Olympics. The Polar Plunge offers a fun filled exciting day for the whole family. We offer a Pee Wee Plunge for the kids, a huge Family Fun Tent, a huge heated Entertainment Tent with live music by RPM, ice carving, a wing eating contest, over three hours of Plunging, great costumes and more! Prefer to stay dry and warm??? We now have the option for your to participate as Too Chicken to Plunge! Look for on-line registration to open up in the beginning of November.
