Wednesday, June 4th, 2008 (Kenosha, Racine)

Kenosha County

  • 6:30 pm: Registration and check in at Uke’s Harley-Davidson/Buell– 5995 120th Ave.

  • 7:00 pm Start

  • End at Red Olive Lounge, 1147 Sheridan Rd.

Racine

  • 5:30 pm Registration and check in at the Racine Police Department (730 Center Street, Racine, WI 53404)

  • 6:00 pm Start

  • Participants will head West on Washington Avenue/HWY 20

  • End at S/W parking lot of Hardees (S/E corner of S. Greenbay Road & Washington Ave.)

Thursday, June 5th, 2008 (Walworth, Jefferson, Rock)

  • 6:00 am - Registration at Courthouse Square – Downtown Elkhorn.

  • 6:15 am - Opening Ceremony

  • 6:30 am - Torch Run begins – Parade run/bike on Wisconsin Street from Courthouse Square to McDonalds  (1.5 miles)(Area 7 athletes will walk behind the runners with squad escort)

Simultaneously run/bike from Elkhorn to Whitewater HWY 12

  • 6:50 am - Re-group at Franks/McDonalds Parking Lot Elkhorn

  • 7:20 am – Drive to Whitewater and meet at City of Whitewater Parking Lot/Downtown Whitewater (Next to Novak’s Restaurant). 

  • 7:40 am - Begin parade run/bike West on Main Street through City of Whitewater to McDonalds  ( 1.0  Miles)

  • 7:55 am - Re-group at McDonalds – refreshments 

  • 8:15 am - Drive to City of Watertown (Hwy N to Jefferson, Hwy 26 to Watertown).

  • 8:50 am - Meet at East limits of Watertown on Hwy 16 with the Milwaukee group.

  • 9:00 am - Begin parade run/bike through City of Watertown with the above mentioned.

We will then follow the group to Columbus for a parade run/bike through that City, then onto Portage for a parade run/bike through that city, then Lunch will be provided on North End of Portage, after the run/bike, at the Culvers.

Feel free to volunteer for any available legs after Watertown.  Then, on to Stevens Point – BE DOWNTOWN FOR STEVENS POINT RUN AT 2:00 pm. 

Following there will be a reception at poolside party/food etc. at the RAMADA (Formerly the Country Springs Hotel).  The parade of athletes will begin at 6:00 pm with Opening Ceremonies at 7:00 pm.  Torch Run celebration at host hotel to follow.

The ride kicks off at Uke’s Harley-Davidson/Buell (off of HWY 158 & 94 in Kenosha). Riders not able to meet at Uke’s may pick up the ride at one of the designated pick up locations along the route

Route info:

  • 6 am Registration and check in at Uke’s Harley-Davidson/Buell– 5995 120th Ave.
     
  • 6:45 am Bikes Stage and brief kick off presentation  
     
  • 7 am sharp!  Leave Uke’s and ride to Racine Harley
     
  • Leave Racine west on HWY 20
    Hwy 20 to RT 12 West.  stay on 12 west to Whitewater.
     
  • Right on HWY 59 to CTY U (or D) left stay on CTY D until CTY E left follow E to Watertown.
     
  • Left on hwy 19 through downtown Watertown to Hwy 26 right.
     
  • Follow 26 to Cenex Station on right (GAS STOP)
     
    Leave gas stop right on 26 to Rt. 16 west follow 16 through Columbus to Portage,
     
  • Stop at Culvers (LUNCH).
     
  • Leave Culvers follow to 39 north to Stevens Point.)

Riders who are not able to make the start at Uke’s in Kenosha but wish to join the ride may pick up the ride at

  • Uke’s in Kenosha,
  • Racine Harley-Davidson/Buell (1155 Oakes Road, Racine)
  • Cenex just outside of Watertown (470 N. Main St. Juneau, WI)
  • Culvers Portage (2733 New Pinery Road)
