2011 Final Leg

Join hundreds of law enforcement officers for the 25th Anniversary Final Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Wisconsin. Whether it’s running, walking, biking, horseback riding, roller blading or driving a support vehicle, law enforcement personnel will carry the Flame of Hope™ from every corner of Wisconsin to the Special Olympics State Summer Games in Stevens Point.

Here’s What You Do:

1. Contact the Special Olympics office nearest you to receive LETR T-shirts for selling or to register to participate in the Final Leg. If you raise $150 or more in pledges, you are eligible for LETR incentive prizes.

2. Register online or by filling out a registration brochure prior to Tuesday, June 7, 2011.

3:00 pm	Check-in begins at Host Hotel - Ramada, Stevens Point. Call 800-998-2311 before May 13 for reservations and ask for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics block. Room rates are: $78 single/double/triple/quad; $78 pool; $153 hospitality; $113 suite
3:30 pm	25th Anniversary LETR Poolside Picnic The Atrium (pool area), Ramada RAFFLE TICKET SALES BEGIN (12 tickets for $10)
5:15 pm	25th Anniversary LETR Parade - from Ramada to UW-Stevens Point Colman Track (parade line-up at 5:15 pm with parade start at 5:30 pm)
6:00 pm	LETR Welcome Gauntlet - Athlete Staging & Parade UW-Stevens Point Colman Track - Officers form gauntlets at Southeast & Southwest gates of track to greet athletes as they enter the track.
7:00 pm	2011 State Summer Games Opening Ceremonies UW-Stevens Point Colman Track
8:30 pm	25th Anniversary Law Enforcement Celebration Party Ramada - Expo Center. Music provided by: Magical Nights Mobile DJ Service
9:45 pm	Program including Tribute to Fallen Heroes, Wisconsin LETR Dale Brunner Hall of Fame Awards Presentation and slide show of day's festivities
10:30 pm	LETR raffle drawing winners announced and LETR live auction

Year-round involvement in LETR events helps you earn incentive prizes at the following prize levels! New for 2011, you will receive a certificate which will allow you to choose one prize at or below your achievement level. You can also choose to bank your certificate and combine with future years.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 to redeem your prize!

1. Turn in your fundraising money to your Special Olympics office and receive your unique prize certificate.
2. Using your certificate, log on to the Web site, choose your prize and enter the address you’d like it shipped to.
3. Your prize will be shipped to arrive at your door within 3-4 weeks!
