Milwaukee, Wis. (PRESS RELEASE) – Special Olympics Wisconsin once again will be the beneficiary of the ADAMM Gala, which will be held February 21 at the Wisconsin Center. The annual event, sponsored by the Automobile Dealers Association of Mega Milwaukee, is held the night before the opening of the Greater Milwaukee International Car & Truck Show, which this year runs From February 22 through March 1.

Giddy Up Gala is this year’s theme. Attendees are encouraged to get “gussied up” in formal country attire for the black tie optional affair. Co-chairs are Roman and Kris Weninger, David Kriete and Vince Vitrano.

This is the 19th year for the event. More than $2 million has been raised through the years to support a variety of community non-profit organizations.

“We’re incredibly grateful to ADAMM for once again raising money for our athletes through the Auto Show Gala,” said Kathleen Roach, Special Olympics Wisconsin’s president and CEO. “It’s such a fun event that people look forward to year after year and it’s an honor for the Special Olympics Wisconsin community to be a part of it.

“This year, we’re really looking forward to the Gala shining an extra bright light on our Young Athletes, who play together in our specialized program and who show the world that the future truly is inclusion.”

ADAMM President Jim Tolkan said, “Each year dealers, friends of the industry and the public get together to celebrate before the opening of the area’s biggest automobile event. But it’s a celebration with a cause, and this year we are once again proud to support Special Olympics Wisconsin, which does so much to help the people of Wisconsin with special needs and their families.”

The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $300 each, with $125 considered a tax deductible contribution. The evening includes dinner stations, dancing to live music, silent and live auctions and more.
