The Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership is pleased to be presenting the first event of a three part series looking at disabilities in Wisconsin. Each event will address a number of specific issues united around the general theme of increasing independence for Wisconsin’s disabled population.
Our first event will focus on the work currently being done representing this population in the state, and on ways the state supports or could better support families affected by intellectual or developmental disabilities.
The event will consist of two subsequent panel discussions followed by a keynote speaker over an included lunch. The keynote address will be delivered by Cathy Ficker Terrill, a lifelong advocate, expert consultant, and leader of a substantial number of topical organizations.
This series is being cosponsored by:
- UW-Madison Department of Rehabilitation & Special Education
- The Arc Wisconsin
- Special Olympics Wisconsin
- Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities
- The Waisman Center
A free lunch is included with registration. If you have special dietary needs please email the Thompson Center at email@example.com or call 608-265-4087.
