Kenosha Running Company Inc. has partnered up with Special Olympics Wisconsin to present the first-ever State Cross Country Meet for Special Olympics Wisconsin Athletes. This is will be the first Special Olympics event of its kind that will be welcoming for all Special Olympics Athletes and open to all other athletes of all ages and abilities. Guide runners, mentor runners, individual runners of all ages and abilities are welcome to compete in any of the three distances. We will have a distance that will fit all levels of fitness and abilities.
- 2:00 p.m. 800 meters (20 minutes to finish)
- 2:25 p.m. 1600 meters (35 minutes to finish)
- 3:10 p.m. 5000 meters (must be able to finish in 70 minutes)
- 4:30 p.m. Awards for 5000 meters only
5000 meters will be chipped timed. Other distances will not be chipped timed.
We will have our Special Olympic Challenge, where you can enter in all three races! Gives you the opportunity to have an extra Special Memory!
Packet pickup will be on Friday, July 26th at Kenosha Running Company (1706 22nd Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140) and on Saturday beginning at 11:00am at the UW-Parkside Cross Country Course.
