Unified Soccer is part of Special Olympics’ Unified Sports programming. Dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences, Unified Sports joins individuals with intellectual disabilities (athletes) and individuals without intellectual disabilities (Unified partners) on the same sports teams. The program was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
Sport: Unified Soccer
Jack plays for Team Wisconsin as a Unified Parter in soccer. Jack is from Madison, where he also plays basketball and football for his high school. Playing Unified is special to Jack because he is able to represent his brother, who has special needs, and is able to join his mom and grandpa in their long time involvement with Special Olympics.
