Unified Soccer is part of Special Olympics’ Unified Sports programming. Dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences, Unified Sports joins individuals with intellectual disabilities (athletes) and individuals without intellectual disabilities (Unified partners) on the same sports teams. The program was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.

Lyndsay is from Muskego, just outside of Milwaukee. She has been a Special Olympics volunteer since 2012 and she has coached in soccer, track, basketball and bocce. Being involved in Special Olympics has opened her eyes to how amazing every athlete truly is. She is a graduate of Northland College, where she played college basketball. She is a teacher in the Mukwonago Area School District and in her free time, Lyndsay enjoys being outdoors, hiking, spending time at the lake, reading books, and spending time with friends and family.
