Madison, Wis. (PRESS RELEASE) – Market Realty Group of Burlington recently made a generous $1,000 donation to help Burlington Police Officer Bryan Wangnoss travel to Abu Dhabi next year for the Special Olympics World Games.

Market Realty Group contributed the $1,000 to Officer Wangnoss’ fundraising efforts as he prepares to trek across the United Arab Emirates in the lead up to the 2019 Special Olympics World Games being hosted in Abu Dhabi from March 14-21. Earlier this year Officer Wangnoss was selected to represent Wisconsin and the United States as a member of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Final Leg® for Special Olympics.

This highly selective team consists of members of law enforcement and Special Olympics athletes from around the world who will carry the Special Olympics Flame of Hope to every corner of the United Arab Emirates from March 3-14 to heighten awareness of the World Games and the Special Olympics mission.

“I’m excited to go to Abu Dhabi next year to spread the mission of Special Olympics and the Law Enforcement Torch Run across the United Arab Emirates. Being a member of the Final Leg for the World Games is such an honor for those of us in law enforcement who support Special Olympics through the LETR,” Officer Wangnoss said. “And I am really thankful to Market Realty Group for this generous donation. I know it will go a long way toward helping me promote inclusion across the world.”

He has assisted in coordinating and promoting countless Special Olympics Wisconsin events and fundraisers in Racine County like the Torch Run and Ride with the Flame Motorcycle Ride. He has also volunteered at local competitions by handing out awards to athletes and emceeing events.

“It’s been our pleasure to contribute to Officer Wangnoss’ fundraising efforts for this amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Erik Litviak, Broker and Owner of Market Realty Group. “Officer Wangnoss has contributed so much to the community of Burlington and the state of Wisconsin and we’re happy to be able to help him take his generous spirit and message of inclusion to the global stage.”
