Unified Soccer is part of Special Olympics’ Unified Sports programming. Dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences, Unified Sports joins individuals with intellectual disabilities (athletes) and individuals without intellectual disabilities (Unified partners) on the same sports teams. The program was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.

Sera comes from Kimberly and she has been a Special Olympics volunteer since 2007. She is a graduate of St. Norbert College, with degrees in education and political science. In addition to soccer, she enjoys volleyball, fishing, hiking and running. Sera is excited to participate in the USA Games as a Unified partner because helping others and promoting inclusion through sports is near and dear to her heart.
