December 8, 2015

oliviarotatorSpecial Olympics USA athlete Olivia Quigley is fearless — she is a powerhouse of energy and inspiration. Because of her drive and inspiration to so many, espnW named her as one of the 25 Most Impactful Women in Sport for 2015!

EspnW.com is an ESPN website focused on women and sports. A self-described fighter, Olivia was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in February and postponed chemotherapy to participate in the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles in July. Olivia almost chose to sit out the final 100-meter sprint because of how ill and tired she was feeling, but she said that taking home a gold medal would be a platform to inspire other women battling breast cancer all over the world. Olivia went to the Games to win and took home two gold medals in the 100 meters and 4×100-meter relay and a silver medal in the 200 meters.
