Special Olympics Wisconsin Welcomes New Board Member, William Jones

Special Olympics Wisconsin is pleased to announce William Jones has been selected to serve as a member of its board of directors.

Jones’ passion for Special Olympics began in 1989 at the Special Olympics Ontario Summer Games. Since then,Bill Jones he has never stopped promoting and volunteering. He served on the board of directors for Special Olympics Canada and is proud to be an inductee into the Special Olympics Ontario Hall of Fame.

“It is an honor and privilege to have been selected to serve as a member of the board of directors with Special Olympics Wisconsin,” said Jones. “Special Olympics has been a major part and influence in my life. I continue to be amazed and inspired by the athletes, and I look forward to working with other members of the board, Dennis Alldridge – President & CEO, Wisconsin volunteers, families and supporters to further advance the Special Olympics mission and vision.”

Jones is the Executive Vice President & COO of InfoCor in Germantown, WI. He not only brings impressive professional experience to SOWI, but also extensive and successful fundraising experience from his time working with Special Olympics Canada. Jones’ enthusiasm for Special Olympics is evident through his years of service to the organization.

Board members are elected for three-year terms, and may be re-elected once for a total of six years. The membership of the Board reflects diverse backgrounds, talents and life experiences, with all members united in a common interest in promoting the mission of Special Olympics Wisconsin.
