The Road to USA Games Starts Here

September 29, 2021

The excitement was palpable as 122 athletes from all corners of Wisconsin converged on the UW-Oshkosh campus on Saturday, September 18 for Selection Camp. The stakes? 65 spots available to represent the Team Wisconsin delegation in Orlando at the 2022 USA Games.

Over two days, athletes and Unified partners trained together with their coaches in track, bocce, softball, swimming and bowling. Athletes donned the official Selection Camp t-shirt revealing the 2022 Team Wisconsin logo. The logo gives a nod to “America’s Dairyland” and to Wisconsin’s state motto, “Forward”.

Team Wisconsin hopefuls also participated in team building activities and biometric screenings. Those who successfully completed the Selection Camp were entered into a random draw to determine who would join Team Wisconsin! One more sport, flag football, will have selection camp at UW-Madison on Sunday, October 3. From there, the delegation will be rounded out for 2022!

While we are not revealing Team Wisconsin quite yet, we do know that even getting the opportunity to participate in the Selection Camp is something the athletes and Unified Partners were so excited about. Congratulations to all of our athletes who attended Selection Camp!

Stay tuned in the coming weeks to find out who will be representing Team Wisconsin in the 2022 USA Games!
