Nearly 40 athletes will compete in the 2021 State Winter Games at Nine Mile Forest and Granite Peak in Wausau on February 20.

We have taken steps to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Return to Play protocols are being followed to include screening everyone upon arriving at the competition site, having no more than 50 people at a competition site at one time, and providing the Awards Ceremony virtually rather than in-person. Some adjustments in events have been made in order to offer shifts for competition to keep to the 50-person limit.

We are also providing In-Practice competitions for Winter Games athletes. Agencies will submit qualifying scores for their athletes by the registration deadline of February 1. SOWI will division those athletes with athletes participating in the In-Practice competition. Agencies will then submit a final score and athletes will be awarded based on their division. Qualifying scores are due February 1st and Final scores are due February 21st.

A Virtual Award Ceremony will take place on February 23, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for all athletes! Join us! Unable to attend? Consider submitting a “Congratulations!” video to be featured during our Award Ceremony!
