Michelle is from the Milwaukee suburb of Brown Deer and has been a Special Olympics athlete since 1995. This will be her second USA Games appearance – she competed in tennis at the 2010 USA Games in Nebraska. In addition to athletics (track & field) and tennis, Michelle also competes in basketball, bocce, and bowling. When she isn’t competing in Special Olympics, Michelle is working at Panera, playing computer games, listening to music or coloring. She believes people should get involved with Special Olympics because it’s a good opportunity to have friends and have fun doing sports.
