Jarod, from Oshkosh, has been a Special Olympics athlete since 2013 and this will be his first USA Games. He has always loved the water and learned to swim through the Oshkosh YMCA’s adaptive swim lessons. Jarod now also swims for his high school team. Jarod is nicknamed “The General” due to his competitive nature in the water. He also competes in bowling through Special Olympics. In his free time, he likes cooking and baking. Jarod believes that Special Olympics have helped him to become a better person and a better leader.
