Rachael joined Special Olympics in 2016 soon after moving to Holmen from New York. As the only girl on the flag football team, her teammates were initially a little skeptical because she is so small. But she proved to all of them she could play football and they were amazed at her speed. Rachael grew up loving sports of all kinds and her favorite team is the Green Bay Packers, even though she is from New York. In addition to soccer and flag football, Rachael also competes in softball and bowling. When she is not playing or watching sports, she loves hanging out with her new Special Olympics friends, babysitting, cat sitting or listening to country music. Rachael volunteers at the Mayo Clinic in her hometown where she assists patients as well as the clinic staff. Earlier this year, she received Volunteer of the Year Award for her work. Rachael is working hard and looking forward to the 2018 USA games!
