Make a Difference. Be a Volunteer. We’re looking for friendly people who’d like to volunteer for a worthy cause. Approximately 80 Special Olympics athletes from Northwest Wisconsin will be competing at this regional swim event and we need your help. Volunteer Jobs (12:00pm-4:00pm)

• Timer – Volunteers will time athletes in each event with a stopwatch in a specific lane and report the time to the recorder after each race.
• Athlete Stager – Volunteers will line up the athletes by division and lane and make sure they are on deck to start their heat. Stagers will also help athletes into the water if they need extra assistance.
• Athlete Escort – Volunteers will help the athletes out of the water if needed after each race and keep the division together as they head to the results table to receive awards. The walker will head back to the finish to help with the next division.6
• Results Runner – Volunteer will collect the final sheet from the recorder after each race with times and placements and deliver to the results table.
• Awards – Volunteers will put labels on the coordinating ribbons according to the results sheet and award the athletes.
