Warriors Wear Red is a student initiated event founded by Pewaukee High School student, Taylor Hooyman. This event occurs annually and takes place at Pewaukee High School during the men’s varsity basketball game on February 4th, 2023. Warriors Wear Red places emphasis on the Special Olympics and Best Buddies programs in the Pewaukee School District by having them partake in a relay race during halftime. Athletes and members also go up and down the bleachers to collect money during the three Miracle Minutes. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for inclusion within the Pewaukee community. The money raised goes to support the pursuits of the Special Olympics and Best Buddies programs in the district.
