Jahlieh is originally from Platteville but now calls Madison home. She has been the coordinator for Special Olympics Wisconsin’s Youth Activation Committee for over a year now and the Unified Champion School liaison for Columbus High for five years. In addition to serving as a special education teacher, Jahlieh is also the head forensics coach for Columbus. She believes Special Olympics has given her students more opportunities to practice inclusion in a variety of settings. Through sports, recreation, and youth leadership, Jahlieh believes her students have grown immensely as young advocates because they have chosen to #LiveUnified.”
