NEW Ways to Be Freezin’ For a Reason!

December 20, 2013

The COOLEST event to help reveal the champion in nearly 10,000 Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) athletes throughout the state is just around the corner!  You and your friends can be Freezin’ for a Reason at one of 12 Polar Plunge® winter fundraisers in 2014, but there are three NEW ways to support the Polar Plunge before February even begins:

  1. Visit any Walgreens location in Wisconsin during the entire month of January to purchase and display a paper polar bear icon for $1, $3, or $5.
  2. Purchase your favorite Polar Plunge souvenirs online at www.willpromo.com/theplungestore.
  3. Middle School and High School Plunge teams can enter the Project UNIFY® video contest by January 6, 2014.

SOWI invites you to become a Wisconsin Winter Warrior.  Last year, approximately 10,000 Plungers raised more than $1.8 million for Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes!  Join us at one of 12 Polar Plunge events.  Check out SpecialOlympicsWisconsin.org to pick a date and location near you and get registered.
