There’s an APP for that!

November 3, 2014

Special Olympics Wisconsin's Healthy Communities is leading the way in providing access to meaningful, relevant health resources and education for athletes and coaches. The use of mobile devices is a revolutionary new platform to share valuable disability and health information. Generally apps may cost a couple of dollars to purchase, however there are also a number of handy free apps available.

•    CDC Vaccines Schedule–Quickly access CDC and ACIP-recommended immunization schedules, complete with footnotes.
•    Oral Health Skills for Community Service–Learn about oral health and perform oral hygiene tasks.
•    My Daily Plate–Make healthy eating easy and fun!  Track how much of each food group you consume in order to ensure you are eating balanced meals and the right portions of each food group.

Interested in learning about these apps and others that may benefit your athletes and coaches? Join our free There’s an App for That! Webinar on October 20 at 7:00 p.m. Participation can fulfill re-certification requirements for coaches. Space is limited to 20. Contact Jessica Chuckel to register today.
