Years Involved with Special Olympics: 15 years

How has Special Olympics changed your life? I have been around Special Olympics all my life. My brother has been apart of it since before I was born. Special Olympics is one of the few things that helps me remain humble. That could be through the athletes, unified athletics, or just general volunteering. Special Olympics has made me better in my work place environments. I have grown as a listener and Special Olympics helped me learn that every situation with a person is a different encounter, so I have to listen and react differently to everyone. At the end of the day Special Olympics has made me more empathetic to the world around me.

What does attending USA Games mean you to? I am excited about participating with my unified partner/son. I look forward to being part of Team Wisconsin, and meeting and spending time with other participants.
